Working Relationally

Exploring early relationship, attachment dynamics and social and cultural atom repair

The healthy physical, cognitive and social development of infants depends on nurturing relationships. In this workshop we will explore the significance and contribution of these relationships to attachment security and how this can be worked with psychodramatically.

The workshop arises from Patricia's work with newborn babies and their mothers, with disturbed infants and their parents in the child protection system, and providing reflective group supervision to infant mental health workers for over a decade.

The workshop is experiential. Stories, video and action will enable us to deepen our understanding of working moment by moment as we use our own experience working with relationship. There will be a focus on using and thinking about warm up, doubling, mirroring and role reversal as both developmental stages and psychodramatic methods when working in the area of social atom repair.
