Powerful....Who?!....Me?! Power is defined by Cedar Barstow (www.rightuseofpower.org) very psychodramatically:the ability to act or to have an effect Power is basically what enables us to do things. In its’ essence, power is relational. Barstow says: “PERSONAL power is the generative capacity to use our gifts and make real our intentions. Although power itself is value neutral, we do many things with it that make its’ use positive or negative. We can also use or misuse power towards ourselves………….” In this psychodrama workshop we will use the Method to explore personal power and how we use or misuse it in our relationships with self and others. There will be thoughtful investigation into the nature of personal power and enactments which arise from the group theme. “There are 2 aspects of power; sun and moon: dynamic and magnetic. There is also a 3rd: the merging of the two.” Angeles Arrien ![]() Katherine Howard is a Consultant Occupational Therapist with 35
