Intimacy vs Isolation

What is intimacy and what gets in the way of us achieving
what we long for in our life, connectedness with others?

This professional development program will address the area of young adulthood as described by Erik Erikson. His theory of psychological stages of development is important as they enhance the work of those who use the psychodramatic method both professionally and personally.

This is an experiential workshop and participants will be involved in enactments, auxiliary work, supervised directing and group discussion. The learning will be drawn from these experiences and connected to Moreno and Erickson’s developmental theories. This will be achieved by large and small group discussion and short lectures from the leader. There will also be pre-workshop reading and youtube presentations to be viewed. This course will be emotionally demanding and participants are required to attend both days.

Our workshop presenter Annette Fisher is a psychodrama educator and practitioner, counsellor and psychotherapist whose greatest passion is to promote the creative arts as a positive force in health and healing with individuals and in community development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Visual) with Honours from the ANU, is a qualified Psychodrama Trainer Educator and Practitioner, an Occupational Therapist and is a registered psychotherapist with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. Annette was a director of psychodrama training institutes for 20 years and currently teaches psychodrama in Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide. She is actively involved with a committee assisting in the formation of one Australian psychodrama training institute and is vice president for ‘Playing Fields’ a community organisation promoting creative arts. As a visual artist she exhibits and as a psychodramatist she has had journal articles published and presented at national and international conferences, the most recent being an online conference ‘Celebrating the Life of Milton Erickson’, convened in the USA.
