Belonging and Community We are gathering for two days to explore what it is to belong.... Some group members may free themselves of a cold wind
from the past that interferes with relating here and now. Some may further refine a role that comes to
the fore in response to group life. Some may expand their role repertoire to be
more congruent with their intention and spirit.
Some of us may be carried forward on a wave of spontaneity that sets
fire to our life’s work and contribution to Community.
We will continue to build on what we have
already developed as a community of professionals who utilize psychodrama. We will use the rich range of psychodrama approaches
in this endeavour. It may be we explore
what it is to belong to our professional association and community of
professionals. It may be that we find
our own place at this time in this group. Your Workshop Leader Elizabeth (Diz) Synnot, who is leading this workshop, will work with us around our warm ups to the workshop theme, our purposes, our passions, our disappointments and our theme interferences. And of course, she will be using Moreno’s methods. Diz is interested in the development of AANZPA’s vibrancy in our practices, purposefulness in our regions and being well positioned in our contexts as an association and community of professional psychodramatists. She has a practice as a family therapist, executive and leadership team developer and coach. She is involved in the work of AANZPA as a TEPIT, Assistant Treasurer (Queensland region), Executive member and Psychodrama Australia Director and staff member of the Brisbane Campus. Formerly she was on the ethics committee for eight years.
